Using Golden Practices to Solve Household Rat Issue
Deepest gratitude to Namo Shakyamuni Boddha. Deepest gratitude to the Greatly Merciful and Greatly Compassionate Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Deepest gratitude to all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Dharma Protectors. Deepest gratitude to Master Jun Hong Lu. Today I will share on my personal experience on practising Guan Yin Citta. If there is anything inappropriate in my sharing, may Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Dharma Protectors forgive me. Last month I had a rat issue in my front garden. The rat was tunnelling in the overgrown area and the excess soil spilled into the fish pond. I am terrified of rats and did not wish for my husband to kill the rats. I made vows to recite Little Houses, Wang Shang Zhou and Jie Jie Zhou for a week. However the rat still appeared. My husband also started laying out glue boards. Desperate, I pleaded to Guan Yin Bodhisattva to allow the rat to escape if it got stuck on the glue board as I do not wish the karma of killing on my household. I also made a new vow to repent for creating a messy area that allow the rat to thrive and continue Little Houses, Wang Shang Zhou and Jie Jie Zhou for a week, plus vowed to write my experience on Master’s blog to allow shixiongs like me who cannot read Chinese to solve daily issues following Master’s teachings. I also convinced my husband to help clear clutter and shrubs from the front garden. Not surprisingly, the day after the glue board was laid out, it showed signs that the rat initially got stuck but escaped. Deepest gratitude to Guan Yin Bodhisattva for listening to my insignificant request. Now it’s been 3 weeks post completing the recitations and Little Houses. The glue board remain clean and there is no new tunnels in the soil. Guan Yin Bodhisattva is truly merciful and compassionate. With a sincere heart, right mind and right action as long as we cultivate following Master’s teachings, Guan Yin Bodhisattva will definitely help us.
